Newtownards Congregational Church.

The Boys' Brigade.

The 7th Ards Boys' Brigade Company meets every Thursday evening at 6.45 pm in Newtownards Congregational Church (Victoria Avenue)

Anchor Boys:             6.45 pm - 8.00 pm

If you are aged four years by 1st September you can join the Anchor Boys and have lots of fun. We play all kind of games, enjoy craftwork and go on visits. Why not get your Mum or Dad to bring you along on a Thursday night.

Junior Section:          6.45 pm - 8.00 pm

If you are a little older (between eight and ten years old) you can join the Junior Section. In this age group we play more challenging games and do quizzes, craftwork etc. We have a football team joined with another Company. At this age you can go away with the BB for the weekend and get involved in a variety of activities.
We meet on Thursday night at the same time as the Anchor Boys but in a different hall.

Company Section:    7.30 pm - 9.45 pm

This Section is for the boys and young men who are aged between eleven  and eighteen years. The Company Section takes part in sporting competitions with other Companies. You can get involved in camping and a wide range of activities. We have a joint camp weekend with the Girls' Brigade. Boys can also work towards their President's Badge and Queen's Badge. The BB provides an opportunity to make new friends.

The motto of the Boy's Brigade is "Sure and Steadfast."
It comes from Hebrews 6:19, which says, "which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast" - talking about God's promise in Jesus.
The object of the Boys' Brigade is the advancement of Christ's Kingdom among boys.

Transport can be arranged.
